Is the MagSlider lid leakproof?

No. YETI describes it as splash-resistant, not leakproof, and it will not prevent spills. Keep the filled cup upright rather than loose inside a bag.

How should the lid be cleaned?

Remove the magnetic slider and gasket for cleaning as directed. YETI recommends placing lids on the dishwasher’s top rack and small removable parts in the utensil basket. Allow all parts to dry before reassembly.
